In the words of our social workers . . .
I started working in the Family Placement team three years ago, very much on the understanding that Pembrokeshire County Council's Foster Care Service had a very good reputation, and was one of the most forward thinking authorities in Wales, as far as foster care was concerned. Over the last five years, the Council has invested quite heavily in the foster service which means the support we can offer foster carers and foster care children is very good."
The Youth Offending and Prevention Service was marked best in the UK in the safeguarding criterion in a National Audit Office report on the youth justice system, which has been very good for morale. It was also marked second in both the risk of reoffending and quality of assessment and planning overall categories."
We are keen to implement evidence-based practice and we consider contemporary research by keeping up to date with current developments in social care."
